The
University of Faisalabad hired the services of a British
expert Mr Ismo who is a renowned educationist and has
vast experience in E-learning/Computer Aided Learning
and Computer Based Learning Model. His assignment in
this university includes curriculum development, faculty
development and teaching sessions with MBA/BBA students
of the department of management studies.
To
utilize his services the University of Faisalabad arranged
a two day workshop “Faculty Development Program”
on March 27-28, 2007. In addition, Mr Ismo Kuhanen,
Mr Toheed Lodhi from University of Agriculture was also
invited as guest speaker to the faculty members from
University of Agriculture, G C University Faisalabad,
Govt College of Education, Govt College for Elementary
Teachers Training, The University of Faisalabad and
from other local universities and colleges participated
in this workshop.
Participants
appreciated the efforts of the University for
offering such a valuable training program for
the teachers.

Executive
Development Programme, University
of Faisalabad, 2007
On
April 02-03, 2007 a two day “Executive
Development Program” for managers/ marketing
executives from the textile and other industries
was conducted. In this program, University invited
guest speakers Mr Ismo Kuhanen, a well qualified
management /marketing consultant from England,
Dr Faheem Ul Islam from LUMS, Sheikh Muhammad
Akbar from State Bank of Pakistan Faisalabad
and Mr Qamar Ali from the University of Faisalabad.
Business Executives, Corporate Executives, Managers
and Consultants from Interloop Pvt Ltd, Faisalabad
Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Image Garments
and other business organizations participated
in this workshop.
In inaugural session Chief Guest, Mr Mehmood UL Hasan
Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan laid stress to
promote the technical and professional education in
the country to compete in the global trade market. The
workshop was quite informative and participants showed
keen interest.
In the concluding session chief guest, Mr Zahid Aslam
Chairman PTEA said that the textile industry of Pakistan
is facing decline. There is dire need to promote professional
education to boost up the industry. He appreciated the
efforts of the University in this regard. Mr Zahid Aslam
distributed the certificates among the participants
of the workshop. In the end Pro Rector Prof Dr Abdul
Majeed presented University memento to the chief guest.
